Brian Robinson was back at Commanders facility with Oreos

Two days after being shot twice during an attempted robbery, rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. was back at Washington Commanders facility. He was there to visit the team doctors to re-examine his injuries.

Robinson was on crutches, and his right leg was covered in a brace and wrap. He also had a pack of Oreo cookies in hand, fulfilling his rookie duties on Tuesday. Commanders running backs coach Randy Jordan is seen in the video acknowledging the rookie got his text to bring the cookies for the running back room.

The rookie also brought his smile. He is seen in multiple photos shared by the team smiling. As Jordan said walking up the steps, Robinson was a “sight for sore eyes.”

Robinson underwent surgery on Monday and was released the same day.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Robinson was shot in the hip and knee. The bullet that hit him in the knee did not cause massive damage and avoided major tendons, bones, and ligaments.

There is no timeline determined for his return. However, Robinson was included on the Commanders’ initial 53-man roster, as the team considers his status approaching the start of season.
