Bradley Beal in ‘good spirits’ after leaving game with hamstring injury

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal played only three minutes in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The three-time All-Star pulled up early in the first quarter and got subbed out with 8:31 remaining in the frame.

Beal went back to the locker room to be evaluated. He did not return to the game due to hamstring tightness and finished with two points and one rebound.

Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. provided an update following the 130-119 loss to the Lakers.

“He seems like he’s in good spirits,” Unseld Jr. said to reporters.

Bradley Beal will be re-evaluated on Monday.

His 11-game streak of scoring at least 20 points has ended due to the injury. He is averaging 24.1 points per game entering Sunday’s contest.

The Wizards are 11-13 on the season after dropping three straight. Hopefully, Beal won’t miss significant time. He has already missed six games this season. The Wizards are 4-2 in those games. Yet, they do not want to play without the team’s leading scorer and best player.
