The New York Giants’ twitter poke a little fun at Washington Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke following Sunday’s pivotal win. The Giants defeated the Commanders 20-12 during Sunday Night Football. Shortly afterward, the social media team of the Big Blue trolled Heinicke’s ritual of Jordan’s.
The Giants posted a pair of Jordans in the colorway of the Commanders.
Taylor Heinicke buys a pair of Jordan brand shoes after each win in the colorway of the team Washington defeated. He began the tradition at some point last season when he made 15 starts in place of Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Heinicke receives a $125,000 bonus for each Commanders’ win in which he plays at least 60% of the offensive snaps. He has opted to use some of that earnings toward a new pair of Jordans.
Recently, the media shined a light on Heinicke’s custom. ESPN showcased the story behind Heinicke’s shoe collection before Sunday’s NFC East clash between the Commanders and Giants. Thus, when the Giants held on to the pivotal win, the G-Men’s social media team mocked the Commanders’ QB.
