Commanders get Anheuser-Busch back as beer sponsor

Anheuser-Busch is returning as the official beer sponsor of the Washington Commanders. The beer company severed ties with the team in March of 2022. The separation was believed to be related to multiple investigations into former owner Dan Snyder and the team at the time.

The deal will include Bud Light being sold again throughout the Commanders’ home stadium, FedEx Field. The brand will be visible throughout the stadium, including The Bud Light Backyard within Legends Plaza and The Bud Light Endzone.

Bud Light and the Commanders will also team for digital content throughout both brands’ social media and digital channels.

Anheuser-Busch is the second major sponsorship deal for the Commanders since the sale of the team to Josh Harris and his group of investors. The team announced an agreement with Verizon on Wednesday.

Interestingly enough, one of the team’s limited partners, Alejandro Santo Domingo, serves on the board of Anheuser-Busch.

The beer company now sponsors 26 of the 32 NFL teams and 24 players, including former Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke.
