The Washington Wizards unveiled their new statement uniforms in June. On Saturday, the team announced when the stylish uniforms will debut.
The Wizards will debut the new statement uniforms at home on Oct. 26 against Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The contest will be Washington’s second game of the season.
The Wizards announced the statement debut by playing and donning the uniforms. While the team previously unveiled the uniforms, seeing the players wearing them gives the new threads the justice they deserve.
The blue jersey has the red Washington D.C. flag embedded into it, with the iconic “The District of Columbia” written into one of the stripes. The chest stripes also align with the team’s Icon and Association uniforms, which have variations of the two stripes. The shorts again have the flag wrapped around the right leg.
Overall, the uniform is simplistic and easy to understand.
