Any win against the hated Pittsburgh Penguins is enough to celebrate. But, after the Washington Capitals 4-1 win on Friday night there was an extra hoorah behind the divisional win. Goalie Braden Holtby became the second-fastest goalie to record 200 NHL career wins.
Holtby reached the milestone in 319 games played. Only Ken Dryden reached 200 wins faster (309 games).
Holtby has led the NHL in wins each of the past two seasons and after Friday’s win is now 9-3-0 on the season. He has been on the top of the mountain of goalies the past couple of seasons.

Holtby took the milestone in stride with a joke saying, “It shows I’m getting up there in years,” according to NBC Sports Washington.
