Carter Kieboom Blasts Home Run for First Hit in MLB Debut

The Washington Nationals top infield prospect Carter Kieboom made his MLB debut. And he impressed with a bang, hammering a game-tying solo home run for his first major league hit Friday against the San Diego Padres.

Kieboom took former Nationals reliever Craig Stammen deep to center in the eighth inning. Cameras caught Kieboom’s parents reactions during his memorable moment. A curtain call ensued.

Kieboom did strikeout with bases loaded in the ninth to end the game, as the Nationals lost 4-3. However, his debut showed a glimpse of the power he packs with his bat. First game, first hit, home run. One can assume that he is sure to have more opportunities at the plate with runners on to make an impact.
