The showdown between John Wall and Lonzo Ball did not have many moments to emphasize in the first half. But there was one moment to notice, when Wall blew past Ball with a crossover.
The move led to Wall’s first two points of the game and got the scoring started for the Wizards. However, that’s about it from the two in the first 24 minutes. Ball was limited to limited to 14 minutes as he picked up two quick fouls. He finished the half scoreless. Wall made 3-of-8 shots for six points.
The Wizards took a 49-45 lead into halftime.
