This past Sunday, the NFL world was introduced to Maurice Harris when the Washington Redskins wide receiver made an incredible one-hand, diving catch against the Minnesota Vikings. Harris laid out with his right hand out cuffing the football for an opening-drive touchdown.
What made the catch more amazing was Harris spent the season on the Redskins’ practice squad before being activated for Sunday’s game. Well, if anyone thought Harris’ catch — which has been referenced as the catch of the year — was a fluke, that argument will quickly be dispelled after what Harris did Wednesday in practice.

Harris was once again at it, grabbing a one-handed catch with CB Josh Norman draped all over him.
The two were jockeying for position, when Harris got his right hand free for a very similar grab as he made against the Vikings.
Of course, there was more to dissect from the play. Norman’s jam caught Harris in the face mask — that would be a 10-yard penalty in a game. Plus Norman appears to be holding on Harris a bit much. Enough that may warrant an additional flag for pass interference. Nevertheless, Harris maintained his concentration and was able to snag in the pass.
By the looks of things, Harris may stay on the active roster for quite a while.
