John Wall continues to be hampered by a sore left knee. On Friday, the Washington Wizards point guard was held out of practice according to Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington.
Wall did not play Sunday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors after fluid buildup in his knee. He was bothered by the issue in the previous game, a loss to the Miami Heat on Nov. 17. Wall explained his lack of mobility following that loss to Miami saying he could barely move.

He returned to play against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday and the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Against Milwaukee, he played 31 minutes in a blowout win, scoring 15 points and dishing out six assists. Against the Hornets, he played 41 minutes and appeared to have little to no restrictions, scoring 31 points and dishing out 11 assists in an overtime loss.
He was stated previously that the issue may have arose during IV treatments during an unrelated illness, causing his knee to swell.
Said the fluid stems from the IVs he recieved last week due to his sickness.

He has been officially listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against the Portland Trailblazers at the Capital One Arena. Head coach Scott Brooks acknowledge Wall underwent an MRI on the knee.

Wall’s career has been slowed by bothersome knees but off-season surgery before the 2016-17 season appeared to clear the issues, as he had a career-year guiding the Wizards to a 49-win season. This season Washington has stumbled, somewhat, out of the gate with a 10-8 record.
However, Wall has been superb averaging 20.3 points and 9.2 assists while adding 1.1 blocks and committing a career-low 3.1 turnovers per game.
