As off-season activities are set to start next week, the preseason schedule of the Washington Redskins was released on Wednesday. The Redskins will open their preseason on the road at the defending AFC Champion, New England Patriots in Week 1.
The Redskins will have their preseason home opener on Aug. 16 in a nationally televised game against the New York Jets of the AFC East. The game is set for an 8:00 p.m. kickoff and will be seen on ESPN.
Washington hosts the Denver Broncos at FedEx Field the following week before concluding their preseason schedule on Aug. 30 up the road at the Baltimore Ravens. That will be the fourth straight year the Redskins traveled to Baltimore in the preseason. The Redskins will face all AFC foes, none of which they’ll face during the regular season.
Exact dates and kick-off times for Week 1 and Week 3 games will be determined at a later date. Week 1 will be played between Aug. 9-13 while Week 3 will be between Aug. 23-26.
The NFL’s preseason kicks off on Aug. 2 in the Hall of Fame Game between the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens in Canton, Ohio.
