Forgive Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals if they get a little too excited. Evgeny Kuznetsov’s game-winner in overtime of Game 6 push the Capitals past the hated Pittsburgh Penguins for their franchise first trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 20 years. For Ovechkin it’s his first trip out of the second round in his career.
So when a microphone was place in front of him to get his thoughts on Kuznetsov’s game-winner and his first trip to the NHL’s final four, Ovechkin was a bit overzealous, dropping a NSFW response.

Probably was the thinking of all Capitals fans as Ovechkin gobbled the puck and tapped it ahead of the Penguins defense to Kuznetsov. Overcome with joy, Ovechkin spoke what first came to his mind.
Washington will now have to prepare for the best-of-seven series against the Tampa Bay Lightning for a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals.
