Chris Baker made a name for himself playing along the Washington Redskins defensive line. But in the spring of 2017, the Redskins were willing to move on from the fan favorite, and Baker signed a multi-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While, he has since been cut from the Buccaneers and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, Baker’s love for D.C. is still unwavering. He has shown his support for the D.C. pro sports teams including the Redskins and that was ever so evident Friday night.
Baker was among the sold out crowd at Amalie Arena in Tampa for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was dressed in his custom made No. 92 “Swaggy” jersey cheering on the Capitals and trolling the Lightning fans during the Caps’ 4-2 win.
Baker shared his experience and it was a delight to see for Capitals fans.

Fans in Tampa were none to please and flooded Baker’s tweets with mentions of his dreadful one season with the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the Redskins and D.C. fans loved Baker when he was there, and enjoyed every one of his tweets as the Capitals routed the Lightning to take Game 1.
Keep it up Baker, and while he may not be a Redskin no longer, it’s apparent he will give love to the city he blossomed in and those fans will give love back.
