Capitals forward Tom Wilson took offense and tried his best to get at Coburn. The referee, however, held his own keeping Wilson away from Coburn. When the confusion was halted and things were sorted, both Wilson and Coburn got penalized and sent to the penalty box for two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

After both served their time in the box, they went at each other immediately out of the box. The two traded blows, but it appears Wilson got the best ones in, knocking off Coburn’s helmet. Ultimately, Wilson sent Coburn to the ice before the referees separated the two.

They both were given five-minute penalties for fighting. However, the trade off may have benefited the Lightning more than the Capitals.
Our menchies are filled with some nonsense about "disrespecting the sweater."
Y'all.
His team was trying to score and Wilson ended the play so he, a top line forward, could be removed from the game for five minutes along with a third-pair defenseman.— RMNB (@russianmachine) May 24, 2018
Nonetheless, the fans were certainly entertained and additionally the magnitude of Game 7 just increased.
