WATCH: Elena Delle Donne Drain Buzzer-Beater to Lift Mystics Over Liberty

The Washington Mystics are now winners of four in a row thanks in large to Elena Delle Donne, who drained a quick three from the top at the buzzer to lift the Mystics to an 80-77 win over the New York Liberty on Thursday evening.

The game was tied at 77-77 with 0.6 seconds remaining on the clock. Delle Donne free off a screen and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt delivered a perfect pass as an opened Delle Donne got the shot off in time for the win.

Her shot came after Kristi Toliver’s jumper was blocked out of bounds by former Georgetown Hoya Sugar Rodgers, leaving the 0.6 seconds on the clock. Washington then used a 20-second timeout to set up what’s being referred to as “The Shot.”

Delle Donne finished with a game-high 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting. The game-winning three was her lone trey of the game.

Washington (10-5) improved to 7-1 against Eastern Conference teams this season. They have the best record in the Conference and are now fourth in the playoff seeding.
