Derrius Guice underwent surgery on his torn ACL in his left knee on Monday. The famed Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery in Florida. Guice gave a couple of updates via his Instagram account, sharing a photo of him before the surgery and one following the surgery with his knee bandaged in a brace.

Guice is expected to miss the 2018 season after the Washington Redskins selected him in the second round with the 59th overall pick in last spring’s NFL Draft.
Guice was pegged to be the starter in the deep Redskins running back rotation but he suffered the injury in his first competitive game, during the Redskins’ preseason opener against the New England Patriots.
All signs point to a successful surgery and we’ll await any official updates from the Redskins.
