The Washington Nationals’ 2018 season is a disaster but Bryce Harper is still Bryce Harper. The Home Run Derby champion showed just how he can flex his muscles from time to time with a clutch, two-run home run to tie the Nationals’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the ninth inning.

Trailing 3-1 and facing a 3-1 count with a runner on first base, Harper jacked a 95-mph fast ball from Cardinals’ closer Bud Norris over the centerfield wall to tie the game at 3-3 in the ninth.

The home run ultimately sent the game into extra innings and was Harper’s 31st of the season. However, Harper was not finish making his imprint on the game, as he walked off the Cardinals with a sacrifice fly to score Michael A. Taylor in the 10th inning to give the Nationals a 4-3 win.
