Following a 14-year career in the NFL, including over nine with the Washington Redskins, DeAngelo Hall hung up his cleats officially retiring from football last month. The new phase of his life turns to sports media. Hall is joining NBC Sports Washington for their Redskins game-day coverage.

Hall will be on “Redskins Kickoff Live” and “Redskins Postgame Live” the network’s pre-game and post-game shows to give his analysts on his former team.

Hall turned down a front office position with the Redskins, according to the Washington Post to be part of the media. He will join Brian Mitchell, another former long-time Redskins player, and Trevor Matich along with host Julie Donaldson, who is replacing Chick Hernandez.

Hall has been a mainstay in the area, growing up in Chesapeake, Virginia before starring at cornerback at Virginia Tech and ultimately playing in the NFL. When he wore out his welcome with the Oakland Raiders, he came home to play for the Redskins and quickly became a fan favorite in the DMV area.

Sunday’s won’t be the only time Hall will be seen or heard giving his expert analysis on football. He will join the Sports Junkies on 106.7 the Fan every Monday at 8:20 a.m. and Chad Dukes every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Hall will also be in Los Angeles doing weekly rounds with Fox Sports 1 on the various shows “Undisputed” with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd and “Speak for Yourself” with Jason Whitlock and Cowherd.

While still has aspirations of being an NFL general manager, now Hall will show off the charisma that made him popular among the Washington fan base.
