The Washington Wizards will be without center Dwight Howard for a second straight game as he recovers from a sore piriformis. The Wizards host the Toronto Raptors in a rematch of last season’s first round playoffs series.
Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said Howard is close to returning but needs to work on his conditioning and will make the trip out West with the team, according to Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington.

Ian Mahinmi will get the start at center vs. the Raptors. Jason Smith will continue to serve as the backup but look for the Wizards to continue their small ball lineups with Markieff Morris and Jeff Green playing the five role.
