Markieff Morris is $15,000 lighter in the pockets after the NBA fined the Washington Wizards forward for unsportsmanlike conduct. Morris, who was on the bench, tugged the shorts of Portland Trailblazers guard Seth Curry twice on the final possession of regulation in Washington 125-124 overtime win.
Curry camped out in the corner, but Morris reached out and took two tugs in attempt to hamper Curry some. The Wizards forced overtime when Bradley Beal blocked Damian Lillard’s driving layup as time expired. The scene drew laughter across social media, however, the league was not smiling at Morris for the infraction.

After news broke of the fine, Morris however was still laughing as he posted a great response to the news on his Twitter account.

Seems the move was all worth it for Morris as the Wizards got their first win of the season.
Morris did his part beyond distracting an opponent from the bench, as he scored a team-high 28 points in 25 minutes. He made 9-of-15 shots, including 6-of-10 from three-point range, and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He scored nine of the Wizards’ 14 points in overtime.
