The injuries continue to pile up for the Washington Redskins, as offensive guard Jonathan Cooper is out for the season after suffering a torn biceps tendon in Monday’s 28-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cooper started four games for the Redskins after being signed last month to replace left guard Shawn Lauvao after Lauvao suffered a torn ACL in week 9.
Cooper was one of two devastating season-ending injuries for the Redskins Monday night, as quarterback Colt McCoy suffered a fractured fibula in the second quarter.
Cooper becomes the third offensive guard to have a season-ending injury for Washington as Brandon Scherff suffered a torn pectoral in Week 9 in addition to Lauvao.
What makes matter even worse is Scherff’s replacement, Tony Bergstrom suffered an ankle injury against the Eagles and was seen with a walking boot after the game, per Matthew Paras of the Washington Times.
Cooper has had a history of injuries. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the seventh overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. However, he was traded to the New England Patriots after three-injury plagued seasons in 2016. He would never play for the Patriots, as he was waived in October of that year while battling through a foot injury.
He had a brief stint with Cleveland Browns in 2016. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys as started 13 games in 2017.
With Cooper out for this season, the Redskins will now have to once again reshuffle the deck on the offensive line.
