John Wall said enough. After a questionable no-call against him in favor of Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, Wall got payback on the other end, blocking Ball’s layup attempt while sending him to the floor.
A frustrated Ball hopped up looking for a foul call, but to no avail. Wall meanwhile, let everyone know he got his payback.
Earlier in the quarter, Wall was blocked by Ball. Replay shows the referees may have missed Ball extending his hand on Wall’s hip before the block.
As LeBron James found Ball on the fastbreak, Wall was not going to miss out on the opportunity to extract his revenge. And he did so in a big way.
That block helped spark a great finish to the first half, as the Wizards outscored the Lakers 13-6 from that point on to extend their lead to 71-51 at halftime.
