Nationals Fans Won’t Have to Wait Long for Bryce Harper’s Return to DC with Phillies

Bryce Harper is officially gone from the Washington Nationals. The former franchise player is signing with National League East rival the Philadelphia Phillies.

The fact he is gone from the Nats is not all bad, especially given the amount of money he was looking for and ultimately signed for — $330 million over 13 years. However, seeing him in Phillies’ red is a bit of a gutwrench. He will face the Nats 19 times per season for next 13 years and this decision will never sit well with Washington fans.

With that said, their will be plenty of chances to serenade the most hated man in DC baseball with boos. In fact the first opportunity is coming right around the corner — April 2 and 3.

Harper is set to make his Nationals Park return on during the two-game series, which will be the Nats’ second of the season.

There is sure to be media circus swarming around the situation, as Harper will dress in the visitor’s clubhouse for the first time.
