The Washington Redskins lose another key free agent, as offensive lineman Ty Nsekhe has agreed to a two-year deal worth $14.5 million with the Buffalo Bills, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Nsekhe spent the past four seasons as the Redskins swing tackle. He started in 16 games over the time and played every position except center across their offensive line.

Nsekhe has proven to be a quality player that could start anywhere else in the NFL. Losing such a versatile player may sting but the Redskins have prepared for the possibility when they drafted Geron Christian in the third round of last year’s NFL Draft.

Christian proved to be serviceable in two games before he suffered a season-ending torn MCL in Week 10. Returning for his second season, Christian now must step up and prove he was worth the pick in the absence of Nsekhe.

Nsekhe’s departure adds to the list of key losses for the Redskins thus far this off-season. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder is signing with the New York Jets. Edge rusher Preston Smith is headed to Green Bay.
