The Washington Redskins declined to tender wide receiver Maurice Harris and running back Rob Kelley. Both were eligible to be restricted free agents, but are now unrestricted and free to sign elsewhere with the Redskins’ decision.

Maurice Harris has already drawn interest from other teams, and is visiting the defending Super Bowl champion, New England Patriots, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

Harris, 26, played three seasons with the Redskins. Last season he made the roster with the intent to be a focal point in the offense. However, he missed four games with a concussion and ultimately placed on injured reserve. He finished the season with a career-high 28 receptions for 304 yards.

Kelly, 26, burst on the scene as an undrafted rookie in 2016, leading the Redskins with 704 rushing yards and six touchdowns. However, he struggled with injuries the next two seasons, playing in a total of nine games from 2017-2018. Last season, he was limited to eight yards on four carries in two games.

Kelley lost his place in Washington with the drafting of Derrius Guice last year and the resurrection of Adrian Peterson, who was the team’s featured back in 2018. Peterson re-signed with the Redskins on a two-year deal Wednesday and Guice is expected to be cleared from his torn ACL. Chris Thompson is expected to man the third-down back position, leaving Kelley the odd man out.
