Lance Stephenson Actually Stepped on Jeff Green’s Foot

By morning the Lance Stephenson crossover on Jeff Green had went viral. The Los Angeles Lakers’ guard got the Washington Wizards’ forward on his heels as Stephenson dribbled behind his back. Green went flying back while Stephenson dropped the jumper, igniting a huge celebration throughout the Staples Center.

The Lakers bench went into a frenzy, even the TNT announcers were in awe. Stephenson broke out his famous guitar dance. The sequence went viral. The Wizards’ disappointing season summed up in one motion.

However, upon further review while Stephenson had Green reeling the fall back may have been a result of Stephenson stepping on Green’s foot.

In fact, it’s clear on replay Stephenson stepped on Green’s foot.

Green even chimed in after the game.

“I can confirm that he did step on my foot, but run with it. I don’t care,” Green stated while laughing per Baxter Holmes of ESPN. “He ‘crossed me,’ if that makes everybody happy.”

It’s up for interpretation whether Stephenson should be credited with the crossover. Nonetheless as Green stated, everyone can run with it if it makes them happy.
