The Washington Redskins will do a mini-tour through the AFC North division during the upcoming preseason, including a possible first look at the improved Cleveland Browns with newly acquired wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Washington announced their four-game schedule Tuesday that will start with a trip to Cleveland in Week 1 (Aug. 8-12).

Then the Redskins will host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2 (Aug. 15-19). That will be followed by a trip to Atlanta to face the Falcons in Week 3 (Aug. 22-26). They’ll conclude the preseason at FedEx Field against their Beltway rivals, the Baltimore Ravens (Aug. 29).

All four games will be televised locally by NBC4 and NBC Sports Washington, according to the Redskins.

The Redskins will get first dibs on seeing Beckham Jr. in his Cleveland Browns uniform. Cleveland is arguably one of the most talented teams in the NFL, especially on offense with Baker Mayfield at quarterback, Jarvis Landry playing alongside Beckham Jr. at wide receiver, and last year’s running back sensation Nick Chubb.

The Redskins will face the Bengals in Week 2. Their second meeting in the last three years. The Bengals will trout out their new head coach Zac Taylor, a Sean McVay protegee.

The all important Week 3 contest against the Falcons will serve as a dress rehearsal for the starters. Facing a talented and hungry Falcons’ team will be a great tune-up before the start of the regular season. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley are poised to rebound from a disappointing 7-9 season.

Also, the trip to Atlanta may the final indication of who is starting the season at quarterback for the Redskins between Case Keenum, Colt McCoy, and/or possibly a young arm like Josh Rosen.

The Redskins will face the Ravens for the fifth time in the last six preseasons. However, this will be the first preseason meeting at FedEx Field since 2010. Former Redskins’ 2012 first-round pick Robert Griffin III is rejoining the Ravens for a second year this time backing up Lamar Jackson at quarterback.
