The WNBA and CBS Sports announced a new multi-year television partnership Monday. CBS Sports Network will televise 40 live games in primetime and on weekends, beginning with the upcoming 2019 season.
The first game will be the Minnesota Lynx hosting the Chicago Sky Saturday May 25 in primetime.
As for the Washington Mystics they will be featured eight times on CBS Sports Network, including a rematch of last year’s WNBA Finals on June 14 as part of a doubleheader. The game will be at Washington.

For the Mystics, it’s clear they are the team to beat in the Eastern Conference going into the season led by Elena Delle Donne.
The WNBA will maintain its deal with ESPN/ABC, which will air about 16 games nationally. The Mystics will also be featured in four nationally televised games on ESPN networks.
While the value of the new deal with CBS Sports was not disclosed, the deal is perceived to be another step in the right direction for the league and its exposure.
