WATCH: Alex Ovechkin Dances around Hurricanes for Beautiful Assist in Game 7

The Washington Capitals jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period of Wednesday’s Game 7 against the Carolina Hurricanes. The two early goals were highlighted by a beautiful series of moves from the Captain Alex Ovechkin.

Ovechkin evaded the crashing Dougie Hamilton and then, he did a toe drag to cross Jaccob Slavin before dumping the puck to an awaiting Tom Wilson. Wilson deposited the puck in the net to complete the beautiful dish from Ovechkin,

Of all the goals Ovechkin has scored throughout his storied-NHL career, an assist may arguably be his greatest highlight.
