The Washington Wizards appear to be inching closer to filling their vacancy at president of basketball operations. According to the Athletic, Washington has offered Denver Nuggets president of basketball operations their position.
Connelly interviewed for the position on Friday. Washington was granted permission on Thursday by Denver to interview Connelly.
Now it’s up to the Executive of the Year candidate to decide if he wants to accept the offer to rejoin the franchise he started with.
According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, the offer is four four years and in the ballpark of Connelly’s asking price. Now is the waiting game for Washington, who is looking to replace the fired Ernie Grunfeld.
