The Washington Capitals announced they have re-signed forwards Shane Gerisch and Brian Pinho to one-year, two-way contracts.
Gersich’s deal is worth $700,000 at the NHL level and $115,000 at the AHL level with a guaranteed minimum salary of $125,000.
Pinho’s deal is worth $700,000 at NHL level and $100,000 at the AHL level.
Gersich, 22, was a fifth-round draft pick of the Capitals in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
He spent last season with the Capitals’ AHL affiliate Hershey Bears. In 66 games with the Bears, Gersich collected 24 points — eight goals and 16 assists — with a plus-5 rating. He added one goal and two assists in nine postseason games.
In three career NHL games with the Capitals, he has one assist.
Pinho, 24, was a sixth-round pick of the Capitals in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, he played 73 games at Hershey, collecting 12 points and a minus-1 rating after spending four seasons at Providence College.
