The Maryland women’s lacrosse team hung on to edge Boston College 12-10 Sunday in Baltimore, to clinch their 14th national championship.
Brindi Griffin and Grace Griffin each scored three goals to lead the Terrapins in scoring. Senior goalie Megan Taylor was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
Maryland, who was playing in their sixth title game in the last seven years, improved to 14-1 all-time against Boston College. The Terps also avenged their upset loss to the Eagles last year in the national semifinals.
Maryland is now 14-8 all-time in the national championship game.
