As the Washington Wizards search for a president of basketball operations, superstar John Wall is working to get back on the basketball court.
Wall shared a video of a portion of his workout as he rehabs from surgery for his torn Achilles.
Wall missed 50 games in the 2018-19 season after undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs in his heel. As he recovered from the initial surgery, he tore his Achilles in a freak accident when he slipped in the shower, according to the team doctor.
Wall could miss the entire 2019-20 season following the torn Achilles.
As he rehabs, his Wizards team will be looking to rebuild its flawed roster. The team fired longtime president Ernie Grunfeld after 16 seasons. As their search has prolonged nearly two months, Wall’s injury and his bloated supermax contract that is set to start next season are at the height of challenges the new president of basketball operations will have to tackle.
