Stephen Strasburg pitched a gem Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. The Washington Nationals’ star struck out 14 batters that included an immaculate inning in the fourth inning.
Nine pitches, nine strikes, three strikeouts.
Strasburg became the fourth pitcher to throw an immaculate inning in Nationals history. Max Schezer was the last, doing so in June 2018.
This was the fourth time in Strasburg’s career he struck out 14 batters. He now has 44 career games with 10 or more strikeouts.
