VIDEO: Redskins WR Terry McLaurin Shakes Safety Troy Apke with Beautiful Juke

One huge plus for Washington Redskins rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin is his route-running. Second-year safety Troy Apke found out just how precise McLaurin is on Day 1 of training camp Thursday.

McLaurin got in front of Apke in a one-on-one drill, then with Apke trailing closely behind, McLaurin shook Apke completely out of the play with a stutter-step juke.

McLaurin’s move slid Apke so much out of the play, he still had time to wait for an underthrown pass from quarterback Colt McCoy.

The two have been familiar with each other from their Big Ten days in college when McLaurin played at Ohio State and Apke at Penn State.

Terry McLaurin is looking to secure a contributing role at wide receiver for the Redskins. He has the potential of becoming the best route-runner at the position for the team.

His move on Apke was just a glimpse of what can be expected from McLaurin if he reaches his full potential. Watch out opposing NFC East secondaries.
