Trent Williams is entrenched in a holdout, skipping the Washington Redskins training camp for now. With no end in sight, per say, teammate and Redskins right tackle Morgan Moses showed his support by wearing Williams’ No. 71 jersey in press conference with the media after Sunday’s practice.

“Pretty sure he wants to be here,” Moses said per ESPN’s John Keim. “He has to figure out some things that are above my pay grade.”

If only the situation was that simple. According to multiple reports, Williams is at odds with the team’s front office and medical staff concerning his medical scare in which a growth was removed from his head.

Morgan Moses has showed his support of Williams since he skipped June’s mandatory mini-camp. Moses has been the most vocal in fact. The two paired together is one of the better tackle duos in the NFL.

With Williams out the Redskins have been scrambling for a suitable replacement. They’ve tried Ereck Flowers at left tackle, however, to less than stellar results. They’re hoping to get last year’s third-round pick Geron Christian back on the practice field this week coming off a torn MCL.

Meanwhile, the team has worked out veteran Donald Penn before signing Corey Robinson. The Redskins placed Williams on reserve/ did not report list Saturday.

With his teammate dealing with a complex situation with his team, Moses tried to ease the tension and conversation of Williams not being at camp by jokingly impersonating him.

“I miss my guys. I miss the Hogs,” Moses joked acting like Williams per Jelani Scott of the NFL Network. “I miss Brandon [Scherff] and Morgan [Moses]. It’s about that time man. Get ready for these guys.”
