The Washington Redskins have denied an earlier report that the relationship between the team and Trent Williams is totally fractured.

“100 percent false,” team senior vice president of public relatins Tony Wyllie said per Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post.

Sunday two reports surfaced about Trent Williams’ holdout. First, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said there is “no end in sight” to the left tackle’s holdout.

CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora followed by doubling down on a June report, calling Williams’ relationship with the Redskins “totally fractured.”

Both reports indicate what has been long rumored Williams has lost trust in the team with team president Bruce Allen and the team’s medical staff being cited over the handling of a growth that developed on his scalp.

Williams had two procedures surrounding the removal of the growth this off-season. Whether or not his perceived holdout has to do with that or what some have reported over him wanting a new deal remains to be seen.

One thing is certain, Williams has not reported to camp which started on July 25. Washington is set to enter Week 2 of camp and as long as Williams does not report there will be a lot of searching and digging that can will only support or dispel the reports or Wyllie’s statement.
