The Washington Redskins worked out free agent quarterback Connor Cook, according JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington.

The Redskins are in need of a fourth quarterback for the remainder of training camp and preseason. Josh Woodrum suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Thursday’s preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns. He is done for the season, head coach Jay Gruden announced.

The Redskins are hoping to sign a quarterback to takes snaps for next Thursday’s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to 106.7 the Fan’s Craig Hoffman. If not, Washington will go into Thursday with the three quarterbacks they have Case Keenum, Colt McCoy, and Dwayne Haskins.

Cook, 26, was a fourth-round pick of the Raiders in 2016 out of Michigan State. After two seasons he bounced around the league on team’s practice squads. He signed with the Detroit Lions in January, however, was cut following mini-camp in favor of David Fales.

Of course, any signing of Cook or another quarterback won’t be a significant move. Keenum, McCoy, and Haskins are in embarked in a competition for the starting quarterback spot. Reps in practice have been distributed to them three, leaving little to no for a fourth quarterback.
