On the same day Redskins head coach Jay Gruden says he doesn’t believe the Redskins will trade Trent Williams, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports, the Pro Bowl left tackle is now healthy and ready to play for someone.

Who that someone is remains to be seen. What is known is Williams did undergo a surgical procedure to remove a growth on his scalp this past spring.

According to multiple reports, Williams did not agree with how the Redskins’ medical staff handled his medical scare before he sought an outside doctor who advised to remove the growth.

Williams skipped mandatory mini-camp in June and did not report to training camp. He has continued his holdout through preseason. Reportedly, he has asked for a trade or release and when not granted by the Redskins, asked for a new contract.

The Redskins have not been willing to trade Williams, despite a report saying he is refusing to suit up for the Redskins again. The Patriots and Dolphins have been rumored to have some level of interest.
