After scoring 79 and 63 points against Howard and Syracuse, respectively, to open the season, the Maryland Terrapins’ offense has had to grind out points this week against Temple. An Anthony McFarland 30-yard run and a pass interference drawn by wide receiver Sean Savoy helped set up a McFarland four-yard touchdown.

It was Maryland’s first offensive score of the game. It occurred six minutes into the third quarter, putting the Terrapins ahead 9-7.

Their lead didn’t last long.

That is because Temple quarterback Anthony Russo hit wide receiver Jaden Blue for a 75-yard strike on the very next offensive snap.

Just like that Maryland trailed again. The Terps did stop a two-point conversion attempt to keep their deficit at 13-9.

Maryland is looking to go 3-0 and remain ranked in the Top 25. However, Temple has been a pesky opponent, looking to upset Maryland much like they did last year.
