Maryland caught the break they needed against Temple. After getting an interception from its defense, Maryland’s offense caught life and struck swiftly for touchdown to regain the lead at 15-13 late in the third quarter.

Quarterback Josh Jackson found tight end Tyler Mabry with a touch pass over the middle for a 17-yard touchdown. The Virginia Tech-transfer struggled for much of the game, but was 3-of-3 for 56 yards and the score on the drive.

All thanks to an interception by linebacker Chance Campbell that changed momentum and gave Maryland a chance to take the lead.

Maryland’s extra point was block, keeping the lead at two. Both teams got into a scuffle in the end zone after the touchdown. Then again following the blocked extra point.

Temple is certain not to go away. Maryland must maintain its poise to avoid an upset to the Owls for the second straight year.
