The Washington Redskins had momentum on their side with an early 7-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys. However, momentum shifted quickly against the Redskins, as Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott found Devin Smith for a 51-yard touchdown.

The victim of the highlight play, Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, who was completely burned on the play.

Norman has become synonymous with the word “burned” in recent years. The veteran seemingly has lost a step (or two).

Last week, Norman was burned by DeSean Jackson for the Philadelphia Eagles’ first touchdown that seemingly shifted momentum to their side in their comeback over Washington. That was 51 yards as well.

Two catches, two touchdowns, for 102 yards in the first two weeks of the season already allowed by Norman.

And he came very close to allowing another big play in this game working against Cowboys’ receiver Michael Gallup.

Dallas appears to have done the same. As they got another touchdown score when Prescott found Jason Witten to give Dallas a 14-7 lead.

Norman is set to make $11.3 million in cash this season and counts for $14.3 million against the cap. That’s a lot for an aging cornerback that continuously gets beat in foot races.

Washington was too young at cornerback for the team to cut ties from Norman to save $8.3 million against the cap. Now, they hope they can get more out of their high-priced cornerback.
