Montez Sweat is finally on the board! The Redskins rookie pass rusher recorded his first career NFL sack, taking down Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky on third down on game’s opening drive.
Sweat beat left tackle Charles Leno to get around the edge. Trubisky initially felt the pressure, but Sweat’s pursuit was just too much.
Facing primarily Jason Peters of the Philadelphia Eagles and Tyron Smith of the Dallas Cowboys, he was shut out of a sack in his first two starts.
