The Washington are in danger of being shorthanded Sunday when they face the New York Giants. Redskins head coach Jay Gruden announced Friday following practice that leading wide receiver Terry McLaurin and right guard Brandon Scheff are game-time decisions.

Additionally, both center Chase Roullier and tight end Jordan Reed have been ruled out.

Roullier has a knee injury he suffered in Monday’s Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears. According to the Athletic’s Ben Standig, Roullier could be out beyond Week 4.

Reed has remained in concussion protocol since Aug. 22 from a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit against the Atlanta Falcons. Reports have suggested Reed could be considering retirement after his seventh documented concussion since college.

Meanwhile, McLaurin is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of practice Friday after he was limited Thursday. He leads the Redskins with 16 targets, 257 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Scherff injured his ankle Monday and has not practice all week. Gruden said he is still holding out hope Scherff can play Sunday, according to the Washington Times’ Matthew Paras.

Not having their starting center, right guard, and top wide receiver would make avoiding a 0-4 start much more difficult.
