Terry McLaurin was limited in practice Thursday, and now he is not practicing Friday, according to ESPN’s John Keim.

The Washington Redskins rookie wide receiver is dealing with a hamstring injury. Judging by him going from limited to out of practice the next day, it appears his injury is serious and concerning.

McLaurin leads the Redskins in every receiving category with 16 receptions for 257 yards and three touchdowns. He is the highest-rated rookie by Pro Football Focus.

He has become the favorite target of quarterback Case Keenum. His ability to take the top off opposing defenses has made the Redskins offense more dynamic. His emergence has been especially welcoming with the absence of tight end Jordan Reed.

McLaurin’s injury will be a huge blow to the Redskins as they try to get their first win of the season against the New York Giants.

In addition, center Chase Rouiller and guard Brandon Scherff are not at practice Friday. Both have not practice all week. Rouiller is dealing with a knee injury and Scherff has an ankle injury.
