Juan Soto is only 20 years old, but he delivered the Washington Nationals’ biggest hit of the season thus far. Down 3-1 with bases loaded with two outs in the eighth, Soto delivered a go-ahead single that cleared the bases, putting the Nationals ahead 4-3.

Brewers outfielder Trent Grisham misplayed the hoping ball in right field, allowing Soto to get to second base.

Soto was so amp that he was ran down between second and third while clapping his hands in euphoria. But it didn’t matter, he had done the damage. Daniel Hudson came up and closed the ninth to give the Nationals an improbable victory.

The Nationals rally started as Michael A. Taylor was hit by a pitch. Then two batters later, Ryan Zimmerman delivered a pinch-hit single that moved Taylor to third. Anthony Rendon drew a walk to load the bases and set up the memorable moment for Soto.

The win propels Washington to the NLDS where they will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the best-of-five series.
