Since being named Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan has been intent on tightening the loose ends under previous head coach Jay Gruden. His first practice as the Redskins head man ended in the players running sprints.
There were quite a deal of changes from Gruden that carried over into Callahan’s presser following practice. First, Callahan won’t be indulging with the media over players’ injuries.
He was frank about discussing player’s injuries, saying “I’m not a doctor…”
Gruden often times went into enough detail with the media to give them an insight of injuries. Sometimes, sounding too optimistic about a player’s injury only to see the player miss practices and games. Remember he was confident in Jordan Reed, yet the tight end hasn’t played since August in preseason when he suffered a concussion.
Old-school Callahan doesn’t plan on putting himself in a squeeze overstating or underestimating the Redskins injuries and recovery timetables.
Since Callahan won’t speak, here is the Redskins injury report after Wednesday’s practice.
