The Nationals are piling on the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLCS. A returning Victor Robles blasted a solo home run in the seventh to extend the Nationals’ lead to 7-0.
Robles injured his hamstring in Game 2 of the NLDS. He missed the remaining three games of the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Then missed the first games of the NLCS. He returned to start at center field.
Robles returned in Game 3. He already had a single and scored a run. Now he clobbered a home run, and now he and the Nationals are dancing.
With a seven-run padding the Nationals are inching closer to taking a commanding 3-0 series lead and becoming one step closer to their first-ever World Series trip.
