The Washington Capitals invited the Washington Nationals to their game Sunday at the Capital One Arena to honor the team for winning their first-ever World Series. And the Nationals had a fun time, a ball, especially outfielder Adam Eaton.
One half of the “Clutch and Drive” was revved up and celebrated in a huge fashion all night long. That included him mimicking Capitals forward TJ Oshie with a shirt chug.
Oshie did so after the Capitals won the Stanley Cup in 2018, Eaton followed suit, now making it a potential DC championship-winning tradition.
Eaton did so again from the press box, as the team celebrated the Capitals’ 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames.
Someone tell Redskins team president Bruce Allen, this is what “winning off the field” actually is. Eaton, who had his option for 2020 picked up by Nationals, is enjoying every moment being a World Series champion.
