Washington Wizards’ Thomas Bryant will miss at least the next two games head coach Scott Brooks announced Wednesday after practice. Bryant is dealing with a sore right foot. It’s the same foot that caused him to miss a month with a stress reaction.
Bryant will miss Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks and Sunday’s against the Memphis Grizzlies.
He will be re-evaluated Monday.
Bryant is averaging 12.9 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting 58.8% from the field in 29 games this season.
He missed 20 games with the initial injury to his foot. He returned on Jan. 12 and improved his minutes and stats in the process, scoring in double figures in each of his last five games.
With Thomas Bryant out, the Wizards will turn to Moe Wagner for backup center minutes. However, Wagner is on a minutes restriction with an ankle injury he returned from on Monday.
